i got a bootleg from The Cure called Brightly. It's from West Palm Beach, July of this year. Honestly, I haven't been a fan of theirs for years but they sound really good on it. i still think Disintegration was their best. all down hill from there.

I also got a tribute to The Cure called "Strange as Angels." it's like a gothic darkwave tribute. good for a listen but then fizzles out quickly.

I'm a big fan of The Cure, but I do prefer the albums Head On The Door, Pornography, The Top, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, and Desinagration.
I wasn't too fond of the happy song CURE era....just wasn't them at all.

I like The Cure even though I saw them in the early 90s and didn't like the show, that wasn't the best time for them...
They've always been HUGE here in France and this popularity was making me feel weird at times, you know the kind of feeling when everybody (including your family) around you likes a band... it's weird how people here can all love one band, now it's Placebo since a few years.
I think the new Cure album is the best one they released since a long time.
Oh and the other day I saw this tribute show on MTV Europe with Manson as a host, AFI played a good cover of "just like heaven".

    Disintegration is definitely their best.

I just got another tribute called 'Our Voices - A Tribute to the Cure.' this one is more in the techno/industrial/rock/new wave vein rather then gothic. think of bands like stabbing westward, god lives underwater, gary numan, early ministry, flock of seaguls, sisters of mercy, blah blah blah.

Prayers for Rain do a great version of Just Like Heaven, One Last Fix do a great version of Lovesong and Lethargy do an awesome version of Pictures of You. this tribute is not that bad.

creeper, that sounds like a cool tribute album. i'll definitely have to look into it.

but as for their albums, disintegration takes the cake, IMO. i have a lot of "favorite" cure songs but there are more on that album than on the others.
